Spain’s 16-year-old forward Lamine Yamal has been hailed by Aleksandr Ceferin as the best young player in the world sport.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has hailed Lamine Yamal after the 16-year-old forward made a superb debut. Providing an assist as Spain beat Croatia 3-0, and hailed the Barcelona youngster as the best young player in the world. Mundo Deportivo reported on Monday UFABET  

Ceferin has hailed Yamal as the best young player in the world and has all the attributes to become a great player in the future. And said that if he were a club owner and had the money. He would try to sign the 16-year-old forward as his first signing.

‘If I had a club, he would be the first player I would buy if I had enough money. For me, he is the best young player in the world and soon he could be the best player in the world,’ Ceferin said.

UEFA president also spoke about Luis de la Fuente’s Spain as one of the favourites to win Euro 2024. Saying: ‘Spain is a very good team. I’ve said it before, for me they are one of the favourites for the European Championship.’

While the young winger has been widely praised for his mature display on his debut in a major tournament. France midfielder Adrien Rabiot claimed that. Yamal will now feel the real pressure of playing in the last-four stage of the Euros and that it is up to the French players to make him feel the heat.
